Day Services

Crossacres Resource Centre

Crossacres Resource Centre is situated near the many resources of Wythenshawe Civic Centre, at the corner of Peel Hall Road and Crossacres Road. The day service is located on the first floor in this multi-use building where MLDP's Adult Placement Team is also based.  Activities, planned in consultation with people who attend, include: relaxation, quizes, art & craft, massage, team games, music, personal presentation, keep fit, music appreciation, sewing, group discussions, publishing a news letter for families and friends keeping them in touch with events.  People also take part in mainstream college classes at Wythenshawe Centre and can spend time at Benchill Community Centrey. The 'Tea Dance' at St. Andrews Church provides an excellent venue for people from Crossacres to meet their friends and other local residents. To maintain and promote physical fitness, everybody who attends Crossacres has the opportunity to take part in some form of physical activity for at least half an hour throughout the day.
