Crossacres Resource Centre is situated at the corner of Peel Hall Road and Crossacres Road, Wythenshawe. The day service is located on the first floor in the multi-use building, shared with MENCAP and Age Concern. Wythenshawe Civic Centre is in easy distance to the main shopping area and amenities. In consultation with people who use the service, we provide activities, which include: Communication, relaxation, quiz, art & craft, hand & foot massage, team games, music, personal presentation, keep fit, music appreciation, sewing, group discussion provide a news letter for families and friends keeping them in touch with events. All activities are structured to help people who use the service to have some continuity. We support people who use the service to take part in mainstream college classes at Wythenshawe Centre and to attend Benchill Community Centre for one full day. The 'Tea Dance' at St. Andrews Church provides an excellent venue for people from Crossacres to meet their friends from Millhouse and other local residents. In keeping with the Government initiative, everybody who attends Crossacres has the opportunity to take part in some form of physical activity for at least half an hour throughout the day.
