MLDP day services offer a flexible and responsive range of services at sites across the city, which provide opportunities and support throughout the day, Monday to Friday to over 300 people.

MLDP day services aim, is to support people with a range of needs, providing the service in the most appropriate site closest to where people live. Everyone attending has a person-centred better day plan which staff will work with you and your family to complete, which helps you, your family and the staff to identify your likes, dislikes, what's important to and for you, and how best to support you safely and effectively.

Day Service standards have been set for all our centres, that exceed the standards set by the Commission for Social Care Inspection. These are monitored regularly and we are pleased to be able to say that we meet the vast majority of standards and are well on the way to meeting the remaining ones.

We believe that people with learning disabilities should be treated the same as anyone else. They should feel safe while spending their time in friendly and comfortable environments. To enable us to provide a better day for people we ask people what they want - give them choice! Push for what they want! and enable them to speak up for themselves!

We do this by facilitating people to run their own advocacy groups, we also carry out customer surveys on a annual basis, for the results of the most recent survey carried May 2010 click here.
