What we do.....

Let us make the film you want .Digital video is an extremely effective media for communicating to a vast array of people. Manchester Media Productions prides its self on effective communication based upon diversity of needs of people. To these ends we have produced videos where particular attention has been paid to the sound track and subtitles added.

Audio description (this is when someone explains verbally what is on the screen i.e. a gentleman wearing a blue tea shirt and jeans is walking in the park.)

We are keen to involve customers/ service consumers in all parts of pre and postproduction. We will often show partly made films to focus groups to ensure that the aims and the objectives are clear to everyone involved.

We have made promotional as well as training videos and have recently completed a short information film that was shown at a national conference where we also produced all the other media, which included Jacque Smith (Minister for Health)

We are keen to meet any challenged budget and can normally assist from script development right though to cinema launch.

This video'stands up'on its own without a voice over. It has a more sophisticated feel to it, especially as it is seen through the eyes of some of the delegates. By referring back to the contributors throughout the film it presents a personal insight into what was an informative and useful conference, with many opportunities for networking.

The pace and music encourage the viewer to stay with the film till the end. The summing up of the day and referencing the aims is succinctly voiced by Programme Lead, Ian Salt, completing the films sophisticated and informative style.

SYNOPSIS: Carefree depicts three dedicated carers, the mothers of children who are severely disabled. Humour and compassion are compellingly evoked as the film documents the carers' preparations for a well-deserved break in Blackpool. The filmmakers, granted remarkable access by the families, provide an essential voice to those often ignored by mainstream media.

Derek works extremely hard with his brother and father running a 7 day a week Newsagents and off-licence. The shop is a community neccessity and open all hours to serve the community.
