Manchester Adult Placement Service

Manchester Adult Placement Service (MAPS) arranges placements for people in the homes of paid carers (also known as Adult Placement providers) for people who are learning disabled, physically disabled, with mental health needs and older people. The service can provide long term placement as part of a family / household or respite care to provide a break. There is also a Sitting and Befriending service.

The people who use the service are referred via their Care Manager or Social Worker.

MAPS assesses, approves, trains, supports and monitors people who
wish to take on this role as carers of vulnerable adults.

MAPS is registered with the Care Quality Commision (CQC).

If you are interested in becoming a provider for the Manchester Adult Placement Service, information about the services we provide and about what's expected of providers is included in the attached pdf. At the end of the guide is our application form.
