Anna has been the Senior Quality Development Officer since December2003, working 4 days a week based at Mauldeth House in the Quality, Research and Service Development Team. She was previously a social worker in a specialist team for people with learning disabilities ( children and adults ),resigning after 17 years with Manchester City Council to concentrate on her own family, only to be lured back a year later by the now MLDP to join the quality development team.
Anna has been involved in some major projects, eg. Ethical Decision Making, Professional Supervision Evaluation, Involving People Who Use Services in the Recruitment and Selection of Staff, to name a few. She was involved in the setting up of and the facilitation of the Think Quality Group ( a group of people in the service who meet fortnightly and comment on services and relevant issues ).

Current projects include coordinating the development of end of life care pathways, person centred planning with groups of parent/carers, evaluating health action planning and delivering person centred awareness training to staff in the service and from other organizations. Anna is also a member of the Manchester Learning Disability Partnership Board, supporting self advocates to participate, and as chair of the Quality Sub Group.
Anna is also editor of Quality Counts , the quality, research and service development newsletter.
